One of my dream cars is a late 70′s or mid to late 80′s Porsche 911 Turbo or Porsche 930. Guards Red would be my color of choice.

This is a gorgeous 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo and is offered at a great price. It’s the first year the 911 Turbo was offered in the U.S. after a 5 year hiatus. It’s Guards Red exterior with a tan interior. Looks to be in decent shape with under 100k miles on it. Would likely be a great car to drive and enjoy.

Here are some more details from the auction page:

This car runs great and has 92K original miles. Everything works and it just had a full service done. It’s Red with tan interior and extras include Momo steering wheel (original wheel comes with the car), polished Fuchs rims, new sheepskin seatcovers, factory air & Sunroof and a Premier CD FM/AM stereo with TCM 4004 MTX 400 watt amp and Rockford Posgate speakers. The paint is great with a couple very small rock dings on the front left quarter panel. This car has serious power and is very fun to drive. The 930 is a milestone in racing history and has won more races, in it’s class, than any other car.

It’s got just over 6 days left with a Buy It Now of $28,000. I’d make an offer in the $25k range.

Here is a link to the eBay auction page if you want to read more: Porsche 911 Turbo.

Today’s bargain is a little different. I found this beauty on Craigslist. It’s a 1975 Porsche 911 Turbo Look Slantnose. The color of this car is absolutely amazing in my opinion. I LOVE the gray with black interior. It also has some nice engine modifications to enhance the fun factor. Just over 57k miles on er.

Here are some details from the Craigslist ad:

I love this car, and the only reason that I’m selling it is because I’m becoming a father, and this is not really a practical “daddy” car.

The car has 57,xxx miles with a CLEAR TITLE. A new $12,000 engine was installed and has only 7,000 miles on it to date. I have all the records for this. This car is NOT TURBO. It is a 2.7 with 6 carburetors, high performance installed by Porsche and some other parts.

Runs and drives great. Fuel lines and the clutch are new. Has a set of 2004 wheels with new Dunlop tires, in excellent condition with about 95% rubber.

Moon roof works perfectly and does NOT leak. Doors, locks and mirrors are fine, power windows work just fine. All lights work.

The dude is asking $19,000 for it. Sounds like a reasonable price and I’d offer a few grand less, especially since it’s been up for a bit now.

The thing that would make this car cool, aside from it being a Porsche 911 Turbo Slantnose, which sets it apart from most Porsche 911 Turbos you’re going to see around town, is the fact that it has the non-turbocharged engine. Sure you’re going to miss some fun factor, but the maintenance requirements and costs decrease dramatically when you’re not dealing with a Turbo motor.

This Porsche 911 Turbo slantnose came up on eBay a few days ago. It’s a heck of a bargain, although it does need a little work. It’s a 1987 with 88,706 miles on it. Not a bad blue color, although the interior is also blue…not my favorite.

There’s some damage to the driver rear quarter panel, and it sounds like it hasn’t been run much in the last few years. It may take a little work to get going, but you would have a great deal for potentially a great price.

Current bid price is just $16,400. It’s got less than a day left.

One of my dream cars is a Porsche 930. I’ve mentioned before that I’d really like to find a 1978 or 1979 Porsche 911 Turbo (also known as a 930). This is a gray market car that is Euro spec, but sounds like a sweet ride. Some great upgrades with a lot of potential for an owner.

I wouldn’t be one bit afraid of the Euro spec. Have it checked out and if it looks good, jump on it. Sounds like the current owner has put a lot of money into the car.

Here are some details:

Here is a gorgeous 1981 Porsche 930 Turbo which is ready to drive anywhere. It recently had a turbo rebuild on 10-21-10 and is in perfect running order along with an oil and filter change. The car is extremely fast and has good tires (about 80%) all the way around. The car is Champagne exterior and Brown interior and the paint is very glossy and I would rate it 9.75 on a scale of 1 to 10. The interior is very clean overall with no rips or tears in the front seats or rear jump seats. The car would rate a 8 out of 10 as far as the interior goes. The wipers, power windows, blinkers, kenwood cd/radio system, headlights, brakelights all function properly. The turbo pulls strong through all 4 gears and all the glass, bumpers, wheels are very very clean. This car comes along with $55,241.00 worth of service records and repair receipts including the oil change and turbo rebuild on 10-21-10. The car is a Euro model which gives it a better overall look and the widebody style is very impressive and turns heads everywhere.

This thing went for $23,500 just a couple of weeks ago. There are PLENTY of deals like this on eBay, Craigslist, Oodle and other classified sites.

I’ve mentioned Porsche 911 Turbo Look deals in the past. The cool thing about not owning an actual 911 Turbo is not having to deal with the expense. The downside is, well, it’s not a Turbo. This looks to be a clean, 1990 car. Pretty low miles at 77k and the seller claims the title is clear.

Here are some details from the eBay auction page:

Professional Factory Turbo S body kit installed the right way! C2 Turbo style wheels

Excellent mechanical condition with 75K mile service completed, 80% remaining on Michelin Pilot Sport tires. No leaks or problem areas

Bilstein Heavy duty shocks with Euro factory springs give it the nice low stance and fantastic ride quality. This car has no rattles or shakes, super tight and quiet!

A/C works perfectly, Porsche Factory in dash CD player, Carbon shifter knob, new floor mats and Silver ringed gauges, and Dual exhaust tips! Nice sound!

Just take a look at the pictures, this car is beautiful inside and out, super clean, never smoked in and always fanaticly taken care of.

Price is just $17,351 at the moment, with a Buy It Now of $22,900. This is the second time the car has been listed, so it’s possible the seller may have a reserve under the BIN price. If this car checks out, be a great deal on a really fun and reliable car.

This is a heck of a deal on a 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo. Up with no reserve. It’s black with black interior and just over 105k miles. Seller even says it has an existing warranty.

Here are some details from the auction page:

This is my 8th Porsche, have to make room for my new Turbo, which is virtually identical because I definitely got this one right! Fully loaded with the right factory options: Tiptronic, full stage 3 carbon fibre, Alcantara suede headliner, supple leather heated power seats, memory drivers seat, special order contrasting seat inserts, headrest crests, park assist, factory stage 4 dark tint, white-to-black instrument dials; plus the appropriate modifications installed by Porsche dealer tuning division: Chipped (low-end mapped), intake, exhaust, lowered coilovers; Kenwood touchscreen NAV & DVD movies in full 5.1 DTS surround sound, supported by 3 Alpine amplifiers @ 1,200+ watts through 7 speakers (incl proper center channel) and 2 X 8″ subwoofers mounted in a custom-made & ported enclosure, cell mount, Bluetooth. Just serviced, all good for it’s age. The car has been driven & cared for properly, and is extremely dependable; it has a few scars, scratches and the typical front bumper stone chips found on highway-driven cars . It’s had a few fender benders and it has a few personality quirks (as all good Porsches do!), but it’s a great car with a great warranty at a great price, and it would make the perfect holiday gift, for that special loved one …or for yourself, ENJOY!

Price last I checked was $29,400. That’s a killer deal on a great car.

This is a car that’s on my list of cars to own some day. I absolutely love the early model Porsche 911 Turbo (heck, I love the later ones too!) and have always dreamed about owning one of these early model years. Specifically a 1978 or 1979.

This example appears to have had a lot of TLC over the years with a lot of the rebuild work already completed. I’m not in love with the red interior, but could definitely live with it.

Here are some highlights from the auction:

1979 Porsche 930 3.3 flat six turbo finished in Slate Grey Metallic over Can Can Red leather. All work performed less then 3000 miles ago!
Bare metal respray in Porsche slate grey metallic using PPG Global Paint System.
New interior with factory early sport seats
New Headliner
New stereo with upgraded speakers
Fully rebuilt stock engine
Fully rebuilt stock transmission with the factory limited slip differential
Fully rebuilt stock KKK 3LDZ turbo
New fuel lines and fuel pumps
New Sachs spring centered clutch
New engine mounts
New rubber seals throughout
Euro headers/heat exchangers and a new Dansk Sport Muffler.
Brake system just flushed with ATE Super Blue fluid
New Pagid Black brake pads all around
New Bilstein HD Shocks and Strut Inserts
Rebuilt steering rack
New tie rods
8″ Fuchs all around
Porsche Hand Painted Center Caps on the wheels
New H4 headlights
New foglight lenses
35% Tint on the windows and across the top of the windshield
Professionally lowered, aligned, and corner balanced weight distribution is 39%F 61%R with a 51% cross.
Receipts for all work done.
This car runs and drives excellent, I would not hesistate to drive this car cross country. It has been my fare weather daily driver since the restoration was complete and has performed flawlessly!

This baby went for $25,655. Anything in the mid to low 20′s on an authentic, numbers matching, 1978 or 1979 Porsche 911 Turbo is a great deal. I’d love to fly in, buy one like this and drive it home. Preferably cross country.

This is a gorgeous looking Porsche 911 Turbo Look from 1979. It looks like it may be a 3.0L car, which would be a great engine (one of the most desirable of early 911 models). It’s blue with a black interior and the turbo conversion uses metal fender flares, which is key in these conversions.

Here’s some more info from the eBay page:

1979 Porsche 911 Carrera finished in Heritage RS motif. It’s a full metal wide-body conversion, the car looks like an 1986 or newer model due to the headlight washers, whale tail and third break light. The condition is great for the year, paint and interior looks good, nicely upgraded Alpine CD player and amplifier, car starts, drives and sounds like a true Air-cooled (6cyl.3.0L) Legendary Porsche. I love this car and the opportunity it will give to so many. At this realistic price, anyone can afford to experience true performance and timeless styling. It’s for the guy that wants to bolt on a turbo and basically have a 930 for $15K! / Or the individual that buys it, parks it in their garage and tells all their friends “Come check out my Porsche” with no worries at this price, then drives it as needed for a huge smile on their face! Never thought you could afford such a great German Sports Car… Well here is your chance. We can ship anywhere World Wide! NADA BOOK Low $15,000 – High $22,8000

Right now it’s at $11,888 Buy It Now or Make Offer option. I’d offer $9,500 or $10k even. Be a great car for the money.

The auction for this car just ended, but I find many car auctions like this fall through. Would definitely be a deal, even at the winning bid price.

This is a 1979 Porsche 930, later known as a 911 Turbo. It represents the best of the first years of the 911 Turbo series. This was the last year the U.S. saw the 911 Turbo until 1986. This is a silver car with black interior. Here are some details from the auction page:

This is a beautiful example of an icon in the automotive world. Starts easily and runs great. All original except for the Blaupunkt CD player and speakers. Paint and body is virtually flawless. Needs a carpet kit and AC service. I am hesitant to sell this car, but since I rarely drive it, I feel it is time for someone else to enjoy it.

This car has documentation showing it spent most of its life in storage in Arizona until I brought it to Sun Valley, Idaho last fall.

Selling price: $23,766.

I came across this 1976 Porsche 911 Turbo look a couple of days ago. Now, many will poo poo a Turbo “look” car, saying it should be all or nothing, but I beg to differ. A Turbo look can provide all the styling and many of the same handling characteristics as the real deal without the expense of maintaining a Turbo. Sure the 2.7 liter Porsche engine is not the most desirable, but it still affords a HECK of a lot of fun for a bargain basement price.

This Porsche 911 Turbo look has a burgundy exterior with a tan interior. Not sure on the miles.

Here are some details from the auction:

This auction is for a 1976 911S. This 911 was professionally converted to a Wide body by a former Porsche collector/dealer. We purchased this Porsche for export to our native country, but unfortunately regulations involving importations have made this venture seem to much like work. We are therefore putting it up for sale as with our other vehicle.

This is a very clean 911. It is straight and rust free. We have gone over the entire vehicle mechanically with a fine tooth comb. It needs very little mechanically so please bid with confidence. The body will need paint but there is no rust what so ever. The tires and wheels are excellent and in great shape with no curb damage. The interior is very clean as you can see in the pictures. This 911S was originally orange but evidently was repainted in a Red/Burgundy metallic. The AC is missing the compressor buy all the connections are otherwise present. The carpeting is decent as is the leather; which is actually very nice.

Auction price was just $7,100 last time I looked. The only thing I’d be a bit concerned about are the sellers. That’s a little out of the ordinary, so you’d just want to do your homework first. Anything near or under the $10k or $11k mark would be great for a car like this.

Here’s a link to the auction page: Porsche 911 Turbo Look
