Porsche 911 Turbo Bargain

April 26, 2011 by Ryan

porsche 911 turbo bargain

One of my dream cars is a late 70’s or mid to late 80’s Porsche 911 Turbo or Porsche 930. Guards Red would be my color of choice.

This is a gorgeous 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo and is offered at a great price. It’s the first year the 911 Turbo was offered in the U.S. after a 5 year hiatus. It’s Guards Red exterior with a tan interior. Looks to be in decent shape with under 100k miles on it. Would likely be a great car to drive and enjoy.

Here are some more details from the auction page:

This car runs great and has 92K original miles. Everything works and it just had a full service done. It’s Red with tan interior and extras include Momo steering wheel (original wheel comes with the car), polished Fuchs rims, new sheepskin seatcovers, factory air & Sunroof and a Premier CD FM/AM stereo with TCM 4004 MTX 400 watt amp and Rockford Posgate speakers. The paint is great with a couple very small rock dings on the front left quarter panel. This car has serious power and is very fun to drive. The 930 is a milestone in racing history and has won more races, in it’s class, than any other car.

It’s got just over 6 days left with a Buy It Now of $28,000. I’d make an offer in the $25k range.

Ferrari 360 Modena Coupe Bargain

April 20, 2011 by Ryan

ferrari 360 bargain exotic

I was just talking with someone a couple of days ago about how far down the prices on good used Ferrari 360s have come over the past year to year and a half. It still baffles me. These are great cars, very reliable when you purchase one that’s been taken care of, and great fun. They still look like a million bucks.

Here’s a 2001 Ferrari 360 Modena Coupe bargain that is up on eBay. It’s a light blue with blue leather interior. Looks very nice and would be a standout color among the red and yellow Ferraris “everyone else” has. The picture looks like a scene from The Village.

No description on the page, just lots of pictures. It’s got just under 30k miles on it.

Buy It Now is set at $68,900. I doubt it will sell at that.  There’s a good chance it’ll be relisted for less, or you could always call the dealer and offer less. I’d love to be in this car for $63k or $64k.

Ferrari 348 TS Bargain

February 15, 2011 by Ryan

ferrari 348 ts 1989 red

I love the Ferrari 348 ts. I owned one for a year and a half. Was a heck of a great car. Today’s bargain is a killer deal.

This is a 1989 Ferrari 348 ts in red with tan leather. It’s got just over 52k miles on it. Here are some more details from the auction description:

I know these cars and knew immediately when I found it, that it was the only one I’ve looked at without major bolster wear, seat redyes, sticky plastic, oil leaks, slow windows, paintwork etc etc, that this one was special and has none of these issues!. The car is a very, very nice driver, very, very nice cosmetics with absolutely zero known mechanical defects of any kind, and everything works.

This is a heck of a bargain at under $30k. Current auction price is $22,100. Buy It Now price is $29,500.

Check out the car at the eBay auction page here:Ferrari 348 Bargain.

Porsche 911 Turbo Look Deal

November 26, 2010 by Ryan

porsche 911 turbo look 1979

This is a gorgeous looking Porsche 911 Turbo Look from 1979. It looks like it may be a 3.0L car, which would be a great engine (one of the most desirable of early 911 models). It’s blue with a black interior and the turbo conversion uses metal fender flares, which is key in these conversions.

Here’s some more info from the eBay page:

1979 Porsche 911 Carrera finished in Heritage RS motif. It’s a full metal wide-body conversion, the car looks like an 1986 or newer model due to the headlight washers, whale tail and third break light. The condition is great for the year, paint and interior looks good, nicely upgraded Alpine CD player and amplifier, car starts, drives and sounds like a true Air-cooled (6cyl.3.0L) Legendary Porsche. I love this car and the opportunity it will give to so many. At this realistic price, anyone can afford to experience true performance and timeless styling. It’s for the guy that wants to bolt on a turbo and basically have a 930 for $15K! / Or the individual that buys it, parks it in their garage and tells all their friends “Come check out my Porsche” with no worries at this price, then drives it as needed for a huge smile on their face! Never thought you could afford such a great German Sports Car… Well here is your chance. We can ship anywhere World Wide! NADA BOOK Low $15,000 – High $22,8000

Right now it’s at $11,888 Buy It Now or Make Offer option. I’d offer $9,500 or $10k even. Be a great car for the money.

1987 Porsche 911 Turbo Deal

October 27, 2010 by Ryan

porsche 911 turbo 1987

Today is a 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo deal. It’s black with tan interior. Only 71k miles on it and looks to be in great shape based on the pictures. It’s got the classic gold BBS spoke wheels and I love the fender flares and whale tail of the late 70’s and 80’s 911 Turbos. What’s more, this car has service records back to 1992 and the current owner has had the car for 14 years. You don’t find that too often.

Here’s some more details:

SERVICE RECORDS UNTIL 1992, CURRENT OWNER FROM 1996.  CAR STARTS RIGHT UP, IDLES AND DRIVES GREAT.  CLEAN AUTO CHECK.  PICTURES SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.  THIS IS A VERY NICE CAR.

The car sold on eBay for $22,500. An absolute bargain for a clean car with records. Lots of deals out there if you’re looking.

1999 Ferrari 355 GTB Steal of a Deal

June 16, 2010 by Ryan

Here’s another amazing deal on a modern Ferrari. This time it’s a 1999 Ferrari 355 GTB with less than 20k miles on the odometer. It’s red with tan interior (THE color for a Ferrari in my opinion) and has some nice extras. Sounds like it’s been well taken care of too.

Here are some more details:

This 1999 Ferrari 355 GTB has the amazing F-1 transmission. This is the best of both worlds. On open roads you can use the paddle-shift or if you get stuck in traffic of are just tired – you can push a button and the car instantly becomes a fully automatic car and your hands are free.

This car has… No smells or odors (smells new). No. Leaks. No. Squeaks. No smoke. No rattles. No weird sounds anywhere. The paint looks 10-feet-deep and has not a scratch anywhere. The paint is all original and mint. This car never saw the rain or snow and is only driven on picturesque days. The car shifts flawlessly in Auto and F-1 paddle-manual. No loose gears. This final-year 355GTB is just an utterly-gorgeous specimen that’s showroom perfect exterior is matched with a perfectly clean interior. I just cleaned it myself. This car also comes with 1. Ferrari’s 355 car cover. 2. A large Ferrari Tool Set with spare light bulbs and more. 3. 10-Disc CD Player (of course it’s the original Ferrari branded system) 4. All books. 5. 2 Key sets. 6. And some misc Ferrari items like their flashlight.

Bargain Ferrari 360 Modena

June 13, 2010 by Ryan

This 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena has a starting bid of only $38,000 on eBay. There’s a reserve, but many of these 360’s are going for screaming deals in the $60k and $70k range. When I first started watching these (just before the economy started tanking), it was tough to find any for under $100k.

This one would need a little TLC, but it’s still got lots of life in it. It’s a bit higher on the mileage scale with 75,500 miles, but the seller is promising a full belt service as part of the sale. This would be a great driving car you wouldn’t have to worry about babying. Here’s some info from the auction:

Chrome wheels, Tubi exhaust, Red calipers. Needs work on the front bumper. Front bumper is scuffed beyond repair underneath, needs new front bumper. (From steep driveways only) Driver’s side leather seat upper sides parts need repair.  Last 60k miles driven in Southern California. This car was serviced well by an independent and driven often. Needs new headliner. Purchase price will include new timing belt and complete service before delivery. Engine, transmission and suspension are still in excellent condition. Paint nicks and all over the front from driving on the highways. This car was virtually problem-free. Except for a few ignition coils that went out when I washed the engine. I found out that the housings crack over time and water enters and ruins them. No check engine light, no smoke, passes smog check every time. (the ’99 has a special procedure, of course) The 1999 360 has only two catalytic converters and no secondary air injection system.
