Ferrari 348 TS Bargain Exotic

August 10, 2011 by Ryan

bargain ferrari 348 ts 1990 red

I love the Ferrari 348. It’s like a more manageable version of the Ferrari Testarossa with the same great looks of the iconic 80’s supercar. I miss my 348 every sunny day we have in the Northwest.

Fortunately there are still great deals to be had on these great cars. This is a perfect example of one. A 1990 Ferrari 348 ts in the classic red with tan interior. Just over 45k miles on the odo and appears to be up to date on service.

Here are a few more details from the auction ad:

Beautiful Ferrari for sale by owner. Starts easy, runs like new. NO FLUID LEAKS. Expensive engine-out service has been performed and documented. No current major service required. Ready to drive anywhere. Climate control, 19″ Challenge rims and new tires, so it rides low, and corners flat. All leather interior, 4-point belts, good paint but not concours quality. Includes factory leather toolbox with tools. All maintenance documents provided, always pampered and garaged, just passed California emissions.

Buy It Now on the auction is $31,000. One heck of a great deal for a Ferrari 348 that’s up to date with documented service points.

Ferrari 360 Silver Bargain Exotic

August 7, 2011 by Ryan

ferrari 360 bargain exotic

I’ve been watching prices of Ferraris the last month thinking we might not see the kinds of deals I’ve become accustomed to finding nearly every day in the world of used Ferraris. Not so. Today brought several deals, with this Ferrari 360 being the best deal at the moment.

This is a silver Ferrari 360 with black interior. Comes with a clean bill of health from Carfax with just over 29k miles on her. Check out some of the details:

2000 Ferrari 360 Modena 29,600 miles. This European delivery Ferrari comes with the hard to find 6 speed (no more F-1 costly repairs) covered with gorgeous Grigio Alloy and wrapped in Navy leather, factory c/d changer, service books, manual, tool kit, compress bottle air and 2 keys are included. At the low current market value this car has to be one of the best DEALS on a Exotic car on the internet. Excellent condition in and out, ice cold air, a smooth shifting 6 speed and a clean CarFax complete this car.

Current auction price is just $48,600, with no reserve. This easily qualifies for the “cheap Ferrari” category.

Bargain Ferrari 355 Spyder F1 Yellow

This bargain Ferrari may as well be straight out of the movie, The Rock. Nicholas Cage goes screaming down the streets of San Francisco in a beauty just like this one. A great chase scene.

Today’s bargain Ferrari is a Ferrari 355 Spyder F1 in yellow. Black interior. It’s a 1999 vintage and has just over 31k miles on it. This is a gorgeous car and looks to be complete. You’d want to check on the last major service.

No real auction description, but a bunch more pictures if you’re interested at the link below.

Current price is $29,995, but the reserve has not yet been met. Buy It Now is $49,880. A great deal since it’s tough to come by a 355 for under $50k.

Affordable Ferrari 355 Berlinetta

Summer’s nearly here and the Ferrari deals are starting to show up more frequently. In the last 6 months, I haven’t seen too many Ferrari 355 deals out there. This particular model is very desirable and seems to hold it’s value really well.

This particular Ferrari 355 showed up on eBay and is square in the $40k range, which qualifies it as a bargain. It’s a 1996 Ferrari 355 Berlinetta with about 56k miles on it. Classic Rossa Corsa red with tan interior. Absolutely gorgeous! Even includes the toolkit and owner’s manual.

Some details from the auction description:

THIS CAR IS LOADED WITH FEATURES AND OPTIONS SUCH AS: A 6-speed Manual Transmission, Alpine Head Unit with CD Player, New Tires, Carbon Fiber Door Sill Guards, Rear Challenge Grille and Much, Much More!!

This car just had a major engine-out 60k service done complete with timing belts, oil service and gaskets at 52,000 miles. This car also had a new clutch installed at 50,835 miles, and a complete set of new tires last week.

This car comes with all owner’s manuals, extensive service records, tools, and 2 keys.

Buy It Now is set at $47,888. I’d make an offer at $43k or $44k as a starting point. Be a LOT of car for the money at that range.

Ferrari 360 Modena For UNDER $60k!

May 29, 2011 by Ryan

Cheap Ferrari 360 Modena

This is unbelievable. There are plenty of bargain buys on these used Ferrari 360’s in the low to mid $60k range, but one actually UNDER $60k.

It’s a 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena in silver with black interior. A bit understated, but at that price, I’d drive this car all day long. I think the silver actually looks classy and the black/light tan interior is pretty dang sexy looking. It’s got just over 42k miles on the odo and appears to be in great condition with recent services completed.

Here are a few more details from the auction:

Exterior is in excellent condition!!! No known flaws or dents, rockers are smooth and scratch proof.  It has a great service history according to the carfax report. Service records are avaliable on carfax. The car is in excellent driving condition and runs strong. F1 shifters are extremely easy to use. If you dont like shifting on your own you have the option to press the auto button and she shifts on her own. She has a great sound from the tubi exhaust. If you are into more aggressive driving you can click the sport button and all I’m going to say is hold on!!! Interior is in excellent condition as well as the daytona style seats . Also fitted with a rare and expensive Ferrari Factory Carbon Fiber Package. She is the best value of a high quality Ferrari in the country. Freshly serviced, including oil change,Filters,Lube,Spark plugs, engine inspection.

Buy It Now Price: $57,500!!! Heck, I’d even consider making an offer of $55k. At that price, if you had to put money into fixing nagging or neglected problems (as nearly every car on eBay has), you’d still be in the bargain Ferrari range.

Why Your Bargain Exotic Needs You To Buy An Air Compressor

May 24, 2011 by Ryan

Normally, we’re all about the deals on exotic cars here on BargainExotics.com. A steal on a Ferrari, Porsche or Bentley is what we’re constantly on the lookout for. However, an interesting side of the equation for most people looking for a bargain exotic, is the maintenance side of things. Let’s face it, exotic cars come with exotic level maintenance prices.

One thing I learned early on in Ferrari ownership was there are a heck of a lot of things you can do yourself. Simple things such as oil changes through complex jobs like the engine out service are doable by most home or weekend mechanics with the tools, time and unction to research online.

On that note, one of the handiest tools for all things automotive, as well a bunch of other household tasks, is an air compressor. I’ve found having an air compressor on hand with even just a few air tools is indispensable for tackling auto repair and maintenance jobs, even repair on trailers. Plus they’re just dang cool to use.

Here are 3 uses for an air compressor in your garage.

1. Maintaining your vehicles tires. From tire pressure to tire rotation, a compressor comes in mighty handy for basic tire maintenance which will reward you with extra life from the rubber meeting the road as well as the best gas mileage you’re going to get from that exotic…not that we care all that much about gas mileage, but every little bit helps.

2. Air cleaning, well, just about anything. A blast of air works wonders on many a dirty part from air filters to parts used in your engine rebuild. Even your garage floor will thank you for the swoosh of air that gets rid of the dirt and dust that’s collected on it.

3. As a tool set. Using an air ratchet wrench in a hard to reach place you just can’t quite get leverage on is a knuckle saver…literally. Not only can you use air tools as a replacement for a number of things in the average toolbox, you can also use ones that provide more specific control over how much pressure is applied. This is crucial in some cases to keep you from stripping out a part by overtightening.

Choosing the right air compressor is an entirely new topic to tackle. One suggestion while trying to decide what to buy is to rent a compressor or two. See what you like, don’t like, etc. If you’re in the UK, you can check out air compressor hire at Erento.

Porsche 911 Turbo Bargain

April 26, 2011 by Ryan

porsche 911 turbo bargain

One of my dream cars is a late 70’s or mid to late 80’s Porsche 911 Turbo or Porsche 930. Guards Red would be my color of choice.

This is a gorgeous 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo and is offered at a great price. It’s the first year the 911 Turbo was offered in the U.S. after a 5 year hiatus. It’s Guards Red exterior with a tan interior. Looks to be in decent shape with under 100k miles on it. Would likely be a great car to drive and enjoy.

Here are some more details from the auction page:

This car runs great and has 92K original miles. Everything works and it just had a full service done. It’s Red with tan interior and extras include Momo steering wheel (original wheel comes with the car), polished Fuchs rims, new sheepskin seatcovers, factory air & Sunroof and a Premier CD FM/AM stereo with TCM 4004 MTX 400 watt amp and Rockford Posgate speakers. The paint is great with a couple very small rock dings on the front left quarter panel. This car has serious power and is very fun to drive. The 930 is a milestone in racing history and has won more races, in it’s class, than any other car.

It’s got just over 6 days left with a Buy It Now of $28,000. I’d make an offer in the $25k range.

Ferrari 360 Modena Coupe Bargain

April 20, 2011 by Ryan

ferrari 360 bargain exotic

I was just talking with someone a couple of days ago about how far down the prices on good used Ferrari 360s have come over the past year to year and a half. It still baffles me. These are great cars, very reliable when you purchase one that’s been taken care of, and great fun. They still look like a million bucks.

Here’s a 2001 Ferrari 360 Modena Coupe bargain that is up on eBay. It’s a light blue with blue leather interior. Looks very nice and would be a standout color among the red and yellow Ferraris “everyone else” has. The picture looks like a scene from The Village.

No description on the page, just lots of pictures. It’s got just under 30k miles on it.

Buy It Now is set at $68,900. I doubt it will sell at that.  There’s a good chance it’ll be relisted for less, or you could always call the dealer and offer less. I’d love to be in this car for $63k or $64k.
